Join us as we welcome fellow CSSUG member and Microsoft Support Escalation Engineer, Evan Basalik as he presents "SQL Azure: Data in the Cloud is a Good Thing ."
Abstract: Evan will talk about how SQL Azure works behind the scenes, plus demonstrate how to use the cloud-based sibling of SQL Server. He will also discuss how to best design your applications to take advantage of the power of SQL Azure.
Speaker's Bio:
Evan spent 10 years doing R&D for a major textile manufacturer. He joined Microsoft 4.5 years ago and is currently a Support Escalation Engineer on the SQL Server team. He specializes in connectivity, database client code, and Reporting Services. He has been working on SQL Azure since before it was even called SQL Azure.
